Next week we'll continue site clearing and begin preparations for the construction of the parking lot. Safety fences have been installed around the site perimeter. These fences are crucial for public safety, so please refrain from entering the construction site.
The Multi-Modal Transportation Hub is funded through a $1.8M grant from the Rural and Northern Communities Fund. The project will cater to various commuter needs, offering amenities such as washroom and change room facilities, water fountains, bike storage, garbage receptacles, and groundwork for future EV charging stations.
The Village Mayor and Council are deeply committed to improving regional transit services for our community. The Multi-Modal Transportation Hub is a key component of our efforts to enhance transit options in partnership with BC Transit as it will provide essential infrastructure to support future transit needs and accommodating expanded regional and local transit solutions.
