The Village of Pemberton will be conducting fog testing of municipal sanitary sewers during the week of October 7 – 11, between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.
This routine procedure helps to confirm connections to the sanitary system and identify any defects or cross-connections with storm drains. During this process, a non-toxic, water-based fog will be introduced into the sewer system and may be visible venting from rooftops. The fog is safe for humans, animals, and plants.
Specific testing areas (as shown in the map) include the following neighbourhoods: the Benchlands, the Glen, Aspen Fields (Poplar, Aspen, Oak, Alder), Gateway (Crabapple, Arbutus, Portage, Cottonwood), Mt. Currie View Mobile Home Park, and the Industrial Park.
Any fog entering your premises should be reported to the workers conducting the test and will dissipate quickly. If you notice fog coming from the ground or any area outside, please also report to Mar-Tech Underground Services who are undertaking the testing.
