A series of storm events are expected to impact coastal British Columbia over the next several days. Heavy rain is expected to continue through the day on Monday and ease into Tuesday, followed by another round of rainfall on Wednesday. Periods of rapid river rises are expected through the rest of Monday and overnight. There may be a brief reprieve on Tuesday before additional river rises on Wednesday.
A High Streamflow Advisory means that river levels are rising or expected to rise rapidly, but that no major flooding is expected. Minor flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Residents are reminded to exercise caution near dykes and rivers.
