A permissive tax exemption (PTE) is a way for the Village of Pemberton to support voluntary, non-profit organizations that provide valuable programs and services to residents. The Village may exempt a non-profit organization from taxation of property used for municipal, recreational, religious, cultural, or charitable purposes. Applicants must meet the criteria set out in section 224 of the Community Charter and in Village Policy FIN-002, Permissive Tax Exemptions.
The Village is inviting qualified organizations to apply for a PTE for 2025. Applications must be received by the Village by 4:00pm on June 30, 2024.
