CAO Gilmore to say goodbye to the Village after 22 years of service

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PEMBERTON, BC – The Village of Pemberton has today announced Chief Administrative Officer Nikki Gilmore will retire from the role after 22 years of dedicated service to the Village.

“Nikki brought professionalism, commitment, integrity along with an unparalleled personal investment to her work with the Village of Pemberton,” said Mike Richman, Village of Pemberton Mayor.

“As Mayor, it has been a tremendous privilege and an absolute joy to work alongside Nikki these past eight years. The impact of the incredible work she has done will be felt in our valley for generations to come.”

CAO Gilmore will officially leave the position on Friday, March 4, 2022 following eight years in the role.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my years here at the Village and am grateful for the support of the community and the Council members I have had the privilege to serve. I would also like to acknowledge the dedication of many members of Staff both past and present, who work very hard on a daily basis with the intention of making this community the best they can,” said Nikki Gilmore, Village of Pemberton CAO.

“The community of Pemberton is home to me and my family and I will always hold a special place for the Village of Pemberton. I look forward to seeing it continue to be the best it can be.”

Prior to her appointment as Chief Administrative Officer, Ms. Gilmore held the position of Manager of Finance from 2007 to 2014. Ms. Gilmore also served in various other roles with Finance during her time at the Village of Pemberton.

“On behalf of the whole community, Council and from me personally, I would like to thank Nikki Gilmore for the wonderful hard work, 22 years of dedication and the heart and soul she brought to her job and our organization. She will be deeply missed,” said Mike Richman, Village of Pemberton Mayor.

The Village will engage the services of a recruitment firm to help identify a suitable candidate to assume the position of CAO following Ms. Gilmore’s departure.
