Please be advised that the Village of Pemberton has awarded the contract for rock fall mitigation of Eagle Drive to Ned's Creek Blasting Ltd. This work is being undertaken so that this road may be re-opened to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Phase One of the work will begin on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Works will include intermittent rock drilling and one day of blasting which will be overseen by certified personnel. A date for the blasting has not yet been determined, however notification will be will be shared on the Village of Pemberton Facebook page at www.facebook.com/VillageOfPemberton and website (www.pemberton.ca).
Blasting and drilling will take place during the week, between the hours of 7am-7pm to minimize disruption of neighbouring residents. It is anticipated Phase One works will be completed by the end of October.
Phase Two works is estimated to commence at the beginning of November, and will include the installation of lock blocks along Eagle Drive to further stabilize the area.
Please note, that during the rehabilitation works, the road will remain closed to pedestrian, bike and vehicular traffic.
The Village will work with the contractor to ensure minimal impact on the Benchlands neighbourhood. Any anticipated disruptions will be communicated through the Village website and Facebook page. Residents are encouraged to check our online communications channels for project updates.
