A section of the sidewalk on Portage Road will be closed for the day on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, due to construction on the Multi-Modal Transportation Hub.
Detour routes for pedestrians and cyclists will be in place. Traffic control personnel will also be available onsite to ensure smooth traffic flow. Community members are asked to please respect all signage and follow detours.

The Multi-Modal Transportation Hub is funded through a $1.8M grant from the Rural and Northern Communities Fund. The project will cater to various commuter needs, offering amenities such as washroom and change room facilities, water fountains, bike storage, garbage receptacles, and groundwork for future EV charging stations.
