Community Notice: Heat Warning for Pemberton

Environment Canada has issued a Heat Warning for the Pemberton area. With ongoing high temperatures, it's important to stay cool and safe. Here are some great local resources to help you beat the heat, stay informed, and enjoy the summer.
 
Beat the Heat:
  • Cool down at the PDCC Spray Park, which is open daily from 10am to 8pm.
  • Visit the Pemberton & District Public Library, which is open for browsing Monday through Saturday.
  • Looking for a shady spot? Explore Pemberton's parks for a cool escape.
Staying Safe in High Temperatures: 
  • Stay informed about heat-related illnesses and how to protect yourself by checking out HealthLinkBC's online resources: healthlinkbc.ca/more/health-features/beat-heat
  • Call HealthLinkBC at 8-1-1 to ask about heat-related illness.
  • Check on family, friends, and neighbours at higher risk to ensure they have a cool space.
  • Never leave children or pets in parked vehicles.
  • Seek cool places like tree-shaded areas, splash pads, or air-conditioned public buildings.
