BC Hydro crews will be commencing maintenance work this week on the Pemberton Substation (1404 Portage Rd), including wood pole and cross-arm replacement work within the substation site. This work will be conducted in two stages and community member can expect to see crews on site in early May and early June.
What to Expect & Planned Outages
Friday, May 3:
- Residents and businesses along Aspen Boulevard up to Oak Street, as well as residents along Oak Street, can expect two short power outages less than 15 minutes in duration during the day.
- Traffic may be reduced to single-lane alternating at the roundabout at Pemberton Portage Road/Aspen Boulevard for approximately one hour.
Sunday, May 5:
- A planned outage at Pemberton Secondary School from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Traffic may be reduced to single-lane alternating at the roundabout at Pemberton Portage Road/Aspen Boulevard for approximately one hour.
Early July: No planned customer outages or traffic impacts are anticipated for this work.
