As a result of an Order the Village of Pemberton received from the Conservation Officer Service, the Village of Pemberton will begin removing the crabapple trees along Portage Road next Wednesday, April 17th.
It is anticipated that the crabapple tree removal will take place over two to three days.
Purchased from Pemberton Valley Nurseries, the replacement trees will be a combination of maples and lilacs. Planting of the replacement trees is expected to begin the week of April 29th.
The Village will also be working on permanent signage to be erected in the Skatepark area to commemorate those who contributed towards the original Pemberton Crabapple Treeway.
